CW Flash Best 2015 Television Critical Blast Readers Poll

The results are in from this year's Critical Blast Best of 2015 Reader's Poll, and lightning has struck twice for the fan-favorite television show, THE FLASH.

After having defeated the Reverse-Flash in Season One, the second season of THE FLASH finds the hero, Barry Allen (played by Grant Gustin), opening a rift to an alternate Earth -- Earth-2 -- paving the way for an historic meeting of the Flash of Two Worlds, bringing Jay Garrick (Teddy Sears) into the cast. But with a new hero comes a new villain, and Earth-1 is now the potential new battleground for Zoom -- a speedster who is faster than either Flash.

Of course the writing staff has several twists and surprises throughout the second season, as the man claiming to be Jay Garrick may not be who he claims to be. As Barry struggles to become faster, we meet up with villains of Earth-2, some of whom are familiar doppelgangers of our friends from Earth-1, like Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker) who becomes Killer Frost, Cisco Ramon (Carlos Valdes) as Reverb, and Ronnie Raymond (Robbie Amell) as Deathstorm. And as the season progresses, it seems to become more and more hopeless that The Flash can pull a victory out this time. (Tomorrow's season finale will tell us for sure.)

Contributing their stellar performances are Tom Cavanagh as Dr. Harrison Wells -- this one from Earth-2 -- and Violett Beane as his daughter Jesse, whom we're pretty sure will become Jessie Quick. John Wesley Shipp has been having a stronger presence in this season, and it's been a welcome one that we hope will continue despite how last week's episode turned out. Jesse L. Martin continues to be one of the tentpoles of the series as Joe West, Barry's adopted father, grounding Barry in reality when needed. And then there's Candice Patton, Iris West, the love of Barry's life who has always been just a little out of reach -- something else that looks like it's going to change very soon.

THE FLASH took 20% of the ballots cast this year, edging out CBS's SUPERGIRL and Netflix's JESSICA JONES. Other contenders this year were THE WALKING DEAD, GOTHAM, DOCTOR WHO and DAREDEVIL.
